2009 New management

As of 31 December 2008, Reinhold and Petra Schulz resign from the operational management as well as being partners at Schulz Engineering. All shares are transferred to Sven Schulz. In the context of restructuring the company from 2009 on, Sven Schulz becomes the Chief Executive Officer. Rolf Schramm, the authorised signatory, takes over the management of simulation and planning. Eberhard Keller turns managing director of project  management and design.

 

2008 New location in the Saarland

Aiming at developing a team for automation engineering and robotics exclusively working for the Schulz Group, a new location is founded in Völklingen near Saabrücken.

 

2007 Growth IV

By end 2007, a total of 101 staff is employed at Schulz Engineering at all locations. The entire Schulz Group with its companies Schulz Engineering, NetAllied Systems, Dengler Engineering and Dengler TubeTec obtains a total turnover of nearly € 16 m with 166 staff.

 

2006 Takeover of Dengler Engineering

In October 2006, Sven Schulz takes over Dengler Engineering from the Expert Group as a partner. Rolf Baumbach is operative managing director of Dengler Engineering. Its mechanical engineering division spins-off into Dengler TubeTec.

 

2005 Growth III

By end 2005, a total of 66 staff is employed at Schulz Engineering at all locations.

 

2005 Sven Schulz becomes Managing Director

In November 2005, Sven Schulz, son of the founder Reinhold Schulz, is appointed to the company management. Since 2001, the graduated industrial engineer has gained experience at Schulz Engineering with design, planning and project management.

 

2005 Foundation of Schulz Engineering Iberica S.L.

Due to an increasing number of enquiries and projects in the Iberian countries, Schulz Engineering Iberica S.L. is founded in Barcelona. In the long term, 10 engineers and technicians are to handle independent projects for local customers there.

 

2003 New building for head office

Schulz Engineering gets a generously drafted new head office — as headquarters and development center. State-of-the-art workplaces for 60 new employees.

 

2002 Growth II

Growing orders call for more staff. As of end 2002: 45 in Tettnang, 6 in Brunswick, 10 in Jena.

 

2001 Updating the IT-structure

Establishing an own IT-Team with 2 employees at head office Tettnang. Developing a processoriented Project Management System (PMS) with own support.

 

2001 Office in Jena

The office in Jena is founded with 2 employees to be near the car plants in Eastern Germany.

 

2000 Change of name

Due to an extension of activities, Schulz Konstruktionen changes its name to Schulz Engineering.

 

1999 Guarantee of quality

Certification according to DIN ISO 9001.

 

1998/99  Foundation of the Brunswick office

In 1998, the company founds a subsidiary in Brunswick to be near the VW-works in Wolfsburg and Brunswick. In 1999: larger office facilities for four employees.

 

1998  Breakthrough

First major order by VW with 3D-designs. Scope: Complete spot welding machine in combination with Rob-CAM-simulations for the basis of offline programming of robots. Installation of workstations: 15 CATIA, 3 Rob-CAD.

 

1996/98  High-end specialisation

3D-based design of welding machines becomes the company‘s main focus: Extension of CATIAactivities. Application of the first Rob-CAD simulation-software. For 25 employees, 10 CATIAand 15 Auto-Cad workstations are available.

 

1995  Further advance in technology

From summer 1995: The CATIA-system is developed extensively. The successful application of simulation-software leads to an efficient interplay with design/simulation of spot welding machines.

 

1993 First laser welding plant

Schulz Konstruktionen plans first laser welding plant.

 

1992/93 Growth I

The number of employees rises to 28. First tests with Rob-CAD simulations.

 

1991/92 Advance in technology

The company employs the 3D-Solid-Construction-System CATIA.

 

1990 Tettnang to become head office

The company relocates its head office to Tettnang. A new office building provides ideal working conditions for 35 employees. 15 CAD workplaces.

 

1987 CAD-pionier

As one of the first design offices in Southern Germany, the company relies on the CAD technology. 3 CAD workplaces.

 

1986 Foundation

Reinhold Schulz founds Schulz Konstruktionen with 2 employees in Ravensburg. The company was founded to develop production plants for the automotive industry.
